FAQ:

Q) Hey, I emailed that dude an hour ago and still my blog isn't getting
syndicated - what's going on?
A) Like everything else LinuxSA, no-one is doing this for shekels.  You'll
have to wait until we "get a round tuit".  If he hasn't answered you in a
week, try again.

Q) I've been refreshing that page every 5 minutes and it's not changing -
why not?
A) The planet aggregator is attached to a cron job - and right now it's
set to update every 2 hours.

Q) Are there any moderation rules?
A) At LinuxSA's discretion blogs can be removed if you digress into
endless debates that annoy everyone else, or if you start posting illegal
material.  LinuxSA doesn't endorse or condone illegal behaviour and while
we won't moderate your posts, if you do the wrong thing your blog
syndication will be removed straight away.

Q) The Planet LinuxSA web page sucks - I mean, it needs some TLC.  Can I
fix it?
A) Sure - the template file lives (or will live :) at
http://planet.linuxsa.org.au/templates and you can work out how retrieve
the css file yourself.  You can go to http://planetplanet.org to learn
more about planet aggregation and to get documentation about how the
template file works.  Once you've hacked on it, sent Michael Davies a copy
and he'll upload the new version when he finds time.

Q) What syndication feed types do you support?
A) Whatever planetplanet does - which I think is all flavours of RSS and
Atom.  Maybe more, go RTFM at http://planetplanet.org :-)

Q) I want to start blogging, what do I need to do?
A) Go and google - common free beer and speech blog packages include
Blosxom, PyBlosxom and Pivot.  You'll need a web space and the ability to
install software there.  If you run into installation difficulties, feel
free to ask on the LinuxSA mailing list :-)
